Default New 2008 2720SL

My son and I picked up our new 2008 2720SL on Wednesday. We took a 500 mile trip to Byron Ga. where the dealer is located. On the way my Toyota FJ Cruiser averaged 20 hwy mpg. On Thursday the dealer and I went over the trailer and had the hitch (Equal-i-Zer with 4 point sway control) and brake controller installed. We travelled back home to Florida on Friday. The FJ towed the trailer flawlessely and averaged 16 hwy mpg over the 500 mile trip.

Just as info, I ordered a NAXA AC/DC 22" LCD tv before I left and it was delivered while I was gone I hooked it up last night and it works great, the best part being I found it for less than $300.00 on the Web. I also found a swing arm mount that slides into a thin bracket you leave mounted to the wall allowing for easy removal of the TV when closing the trailer down.

Congrats on getting your new TM...

I've been looking for a mount like the one you describe. What make and model did you get?

Thanks, Keith

This type of mount has been talked about in depth in this post. Jim has been helping me tirelessly with this project. I bought 4 of them so I can have two in TM & also be able to use in house if we want. There is also an excellent mounting idea by Wayne.

TV Mount that will work in TM

The one I am getting I bought at amazon for $44.99. The mounting plate is attached to the wall (you get two) and the swing out arm is attached to the back of the TV, the arm slides into the bracket when you want to hang the TV. The name and product description is:

Ready America MRV3500 Travel TV Wall Mount
Product Description From the Manufacturer
Take your LCD TV with you and easily mount it in any two places. Your TV easily slides in and out. The unit includes: built-in bubble level, removable arm, pans, tilts and expands. It is able to secures TV's and monitors up to 27-inches and 40 pounds.

I was able to get 4 for close to same price although slightly higher off eBay. One of the sellers I purchased from still has some. This is the same mount that was talked about & used in the previous thread. I also was able to make it into a double arm if needed.

Also remember it may be safer to remove the bottom wire holder so it doesn't hit the trailer when folding down as MudDog suggested & done.
