Is there any damage at the connection, or is it simply a case of an incomplete gluing job?

If the latter, it might be possible to get a can of ABS cement from the plumbing section of the hardware store, then thoroughly clean and maybe rough up the joint area, use an Xacto knife to open up the leaking part of the joint a bit, and then brush on a heavy coat of cement all around the edge of the joint. Using the brush and the Xacto knife, work the cement into the gap where it leaks. Maybe wrap it in plastic to keep the cement wet longer. If you are lucky, the cement (actually a solvent) will melt and bond the edges of the joint, closing the leak.

Cheap and easy to try, and if it doesn't work, you're not out anything except the cost of the cement, which you are going to need anyway for a more elaborate repair.

My tank has a stress crack at the corner. Put some abs glue on it but have yet to test it again. I just replaced both black valves because they were leaking. The thetford one was a joy. I replaced the entire valve and the new one leaks worse than the old one. At least the generic one now holds water.

Default thetford slide valve "repair"

I had a leaking slide valve because of a distorted rubber gasket. I installed a new slide valve, and its gasket almost immediately got distorted. I took the original slide valve apart, rotated the rubber gasket 90 degrees, put it back together, and it has worked for about 2 years. I also started making sure to close it as soon as possible and to pour a bit of water in the toilet to keep the gasket moist.

To get back to the question on the gray water tank, see if there is any joy in either of these threads
