Replace porch light bulb with amber bulb?
Hello, I own a 2007 2619 and have read on this forum that the white porch light bulb by the door can be replaced with an amber bulb. A local RV dealer says amber bulbs or lenses do not fit my TM porch light. Is this true? If not, could anyone suggest replacements (#'s etc.) for either the bulb or plastic lense? Thanks.

Wrong answer
Your RV dealer is wrong. I got yellow replacement bulbs at our local Napa auto parts store. Have also seen them at other stores (National, etc.), in the trailer lighting area. Sorry I can't give you the part number, but you can take you TrailManor bulb in and have them match it with a yellow bulb for you.
Happy Camping!

The number is 1156A. I haven't picked one up yet (I plan to soon) but I found it on another thread in this forum.

You don't need to replace the lens as someone suggested. Take the bulb out, put it in your pocket, go to W/M and buy an amber bulb just like it. Usually come 2 to a package.

I picked up an 1156A, and that is NOT the correct bulb, at least for my 2004 model. I don't know what the correct one is, but in the meantime I suggest the other recommended method of 'take the old one to the store and compare'.
Update: I found it - the amber/yellow porch light for our 2004 2720SL is a 916NA bulb.

I just picked up an amber lens from our local dealer. It looks identical to the clear one, except for color.
It's made my Command Electronics, part #89-100A, and it's about $5 at several RV places I've found online, such as these:

bulb
The correct bulb to replace the clear bulb on the porch on my 2005 trailer is 912NA. I tried the 916NA from a previous post and it is not bright enough.

Sorry about the zombie thread...
These automotive amber bulbs aren't the same color as the yellow "bug lights" I use on my house porch... Do they do a decent job of not attracting bugs?
