Default Rear Bike Hitch

Can I get a rear hitch mounted on the 2005 2720 to carry bikes or does it have to come from the factory when it was assembled? If I can do this, is it a good idea? Any experiences?

You can easily add a bolt-on receiver if your unit has the square bumper. The newer TM's have a plastic storage compartment and that bumper cannot support a bolt-on receiver. However, those models can accommodate a rear hitch bolted or welded to the TM frame.

We have had considerable experience carrying bikes on the back of our unit. Check this link, it will list our experiences and good information from other owners.

Send me a PM if you need more information.

Ditto what Dick said. Had a reciever welded to the back of our 06 3023. did bikes but most often a truck box mounted in a wheeless trailer (mesh screen in a flat rectangular box that slid into the reciever. sometime refered to as haul all)
