Default Northern MN

Itasca state park in northern MN is a great place. It is a huge park(one of the largest state parks in the country). It is the headwaters of the Mississippi so you can walk across the rocks right at the headwaters. Make sure you have all your supplies. It is at least a 30 minute drive to even a small town. the park is in the middle of nowhere but it is a destination worth seeing.
