telescoping trailer
http://www.trailmanorowners.com/foru...ead.php?t=4419
Hay! Thanks Wayne, I like that term. So often our TM is called a "popup" and that is just an insult. Now I can proudly say it is a Telescoping Trailer. The problem is that there are very few TM in the western side of Michigan.

You're welcome. I like that term better too. The book also said that they are scarce because there aren't as many manufacturers. But if it's true that they are the trailer of the future, then hopefully the numbers manufactured will expand.

Another descriptive term

I like to refer to my TM as a "popup on steroids" . When I have non-RVing friends trying to locate our trailer at a show site, this description gives them a mental picture of what they should be looking for since our TMs have the same basic outline as a popup.

I like that Simon. pop-up on steroids....I'll start using that. I can't get my mother (who owns a TT) to stop calling our TM a hi-lo. I feel like I'm talking to my kids but everytime she mentions it. she says the hi-lo. maybe its old age. haha

"Telescope" or "pop up on steroids" is better than just pop up or hi lo. Every time we tell someone we have a pop up they respond like they know exactly what we mean. Which is okay I guess, except most of them don't really know what we have until they see it. I'm sticking with telescope trailer.
Someone that lives about two miles from us, but goes running in our neighborhood, recently spotted our TM parked on the side of the house, and stopped by to ask me about it. I showed it to her and she was completely impressed. Today she came by again, with her husband. They currently have a tent trailer, but they loved our trailer and want to get one in about a year. It was fun to show it off.

We call ours a "Transformer" or when folded down a Traveling Clown University with 148 students inside (there's room for two more, want to enroll?).

Just wondering?
My grand children want us to name our TM! Do any of you have a name for yours? People ask us if our TM is a HiLo and we just tell them "no it's better than a HIlo".Once they see it opened and set up they are amazed.

I recall some one on this board had named their TM "Iris". I would prefer Persephone or Murgatroid! LOL It'll probably be relegated to Tag-along VII, since all our camping trailers have been named Tag-along
