Does anyone know the feasability and cost of adding an after-market swing-away hitch to a TrailManor? We're looking at used TMs, and will need the swing-away hitch.
My local dealer, Stan at Dinuba RV in Rio Vista, California, has a local welder that can do it. I have used his local welder to repair a cracked frame that developed while my TM2720 was still under warranty. Search for posts on cracked frame by popbeavers if you want to see the details.
It is clearly feasible. But Dinuba RV is the only dealer that I know of that does it. There likely are other dealers. Perhaps others will chime in soon.
I too was interested in a swing away tongue so when I played some golf in Rio Vista, CA, I stopped by Dinuba RV and asked for a quote. They said $650 would take care of it. This is probably too late to help you, but it might help others.
