Default Are TMs Bear-Proof?

We thought we might share with you this actual unretouched photograph taken Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Illinois' Jim Edgar Panther Creek Fish and Wildlife Area of a polar bear leaving our campsite having failed in his attempt to break into our TM 2619.

Default Bear cub?

That's a "polar bear" who is so white that he appears to have been recently laundered. Also, he's not as fearsome looking as I would expect a polar bear to be. I estimate that he's about four and a half feet tall but a youngster of his age shouldn't be missing several claws in his right front paw, should he? Have you alerted the Fish and Game Authorities about your discovery that polar bears have migrated down into the lower 48 states.

My congratulations on an excellent job of snow sculpting. ;o)

Dave & Mary,

Thought this was a hoax when I first read your report, but the photographic proof is hard to dispute. Those TMs are sure tough...not even a mark! And so brave to get that close for the picture.

Thanks!*!

Thanks! We needed a good laugh tonight! Living in "snow country" (Ohio) will do that to you at this time of year!

That's pretty amazing, not a mark on the TM. Must have been to tough and he gave up.
