first outing of the 2014 season

Well we head home tomorrow, has been an awesome week,will post more then. i can say this is one very nice. park

Survived the 38 mph gusts at Mustang Park. 36 degs in the TM this morning when we turned on the heat; 28 outside. New batteries we installed are doing well; after three days of dry camping they are only down 10%. Put up the solar panels today and at 8 am cst they were pushing 6.5 amps.

well did not want to start another thread, but we out of here again mon. when we was hanging out with scrubjaysnest, he let us in on the usfs campgrounds over in southwest VA. he had suggested Bark Campground in Coeburn va.
So we went exploring this past week he was correct some nice places, Bark campground is up on a mountain with it's on little lake, real nice place.
We also went to Cave Springs in Dryden va. another usfs. a real out of the way place,with some very back in the woods sites. if you are looking for a place to hide from the world , this is it.
The one we (dw) chose is Cane patch in Pound Va. grt thing is it is only 6 miles off hwy 23 nice easy pull into the place, it is also usfs , so I will report back later in the week, nice little lake also, so will get some fishing in also.

We camped at Cave Springs around 1988 the first time....still a very nice out of the way place.
