Haven't firmed up our start date yet for the 2014 travel season. But it will be sometime the first week of March with our first stop at Three Rivers SP. The stop after that will be Lenoir Landing, rustic ACOE CG near Coffeville, Al. For those that want elec and water; Service Park, ACOE is 10 minutes away on US 84. Stops after that will be Clear Springs and Gum Springs, USFS CG's also along US 84. The first night in Tx will be either Mission Tejas or Purtis Creek SP's. When we get to Ft Worth or stop there will be at Mustang Park, ACOE.
No hook ups but they have showers and you camp over looking the lake.
We will then head for the Natchez Trace. Possibly a meet up with Randy and his bride north and east of Nashville, maybe Bandy CG in the Big South Fork RA. The eventual goal is to make it to the UP this year.

Had a long weekend last weekend for presidents day. The weather actually cooperated. Got a three night campout in. It was fabulous!

Got the No Camping Blues! First planned camping for us is end of April to Hocking Hills SP in Ohio.

Tried to get the DW to camp this last weekend when we pulled back the NTU camper. But she wanted to motel it. Her idea was best, it ended up being 5 degrees that night.

Well, I don't want to make everybody feel too bad that lives in the east, but we're going to go on our second camping trip of 2014 this coming weekend. Heading back to a local beach on Friday and the weather is forecasted to be in the mid 70's.
On the other hand, the drought out here is taking it's toll on our water bill. We now are paying two and a half times what we paid just two years ago.

Launch date for us is most likely Mar 5th. Starting to get into the upper 60's a night

Temperatures here, this week, are in the lower 80's. "Snow-birds" are still filling up our local campgrounds and most are reluctant to head home up north (I don't blame them for that!). Our local, county park is pretty good about reserving some sites for locals, so we'll probably head there just for a get-away break in routine next week, or so.
