Default Why 2619 & 2720?

There is only one foot difference that I can see. From a business standpoint, it does not make sense in regard to production costs. Is there a reason?

Weight and garage space requirements, I'd think, as well as cost.

Double bed vs. queen sized bed. That was our deciding factor when we chose the 2720.

Now that the kids don't come camping with us much any more (after owning the TM for 7 years) it seems huge. We could do with something much smaller.

It always seemed to me that there are way too many models of campers for the size of the market. Not just TM but all the manufacturers.

For us the 2720SL had more living space for the way we use the camper.
Therefor what HarveyRv said market!

2619 fits in garage - 2720 didn't. In retrospect, however, I would have modified the garage to accomodate the 2720! - camp2canoe

I'd just add also a function of two price points with a bare bones 2619 being the least expensive in the TM line. 2720 with options can be noticiably more money.
Additional storage in the 2720 is also a plus in addition to the queen bed, but fitting one in your garage is perhaps the overriding consideration especialy if you live where there is extreme weather. Garaging an RV significantly extends its life.

Because the length of my garage is 19 feet 6 inches, I had two choices:

1. 2619
2. 2720 with the swing away tongue

We chose the latter.

If I wanted to store it in the other section of my garage then I would need the 2619 with the swing away tongue.

Essentially, this is marketing. Many want the queen bed instead of the double bed, but just do not have the necessary length.
