Thetford Electra Magic Vent Kit
Thetford has a vent accessory for the Electra Magic Toilet that is "primarily" (read not solely) for marine use. It costs $30.00. Has anyone tried incorporating this into the TM toilet?

The pictures were probably posted before the board switched over to the new software (that's why they're gone).

Yes, he sent me pics and we (meaning me) are thinking that might be the way to go but the other part of "we" (meaning hubby) may not be as motivated and so I am exploring my options...if their are any.
Used our TM this weekend for the first time and it wasn't so bad. We were coastal so it didn't get too hot. This coming weekend, however, we will be 3 days is Sunnyvale CA with no hookups so he may change his tune. It's supposed to be a hot weekend there. We shall see

Thetford Toilet Venting Modification
I was thinking about doing the venting modification described in Dancin Campers July 2003 post. Does anyone still have the pictures of the modification? I think I can understand what was done, but a picture or two would certainly help. Thanks.

"Dancin Campers" was kind enough to take new ones for me. I forwarded them to your email because I wasn't sure how to forward them to the forum.

Maybe "Dancin Campers" can post to the forum. I can email privately if you like.

Toilet Vent, non powered
I'm not aware of any toilet vent photos that were posted by "Dancin Camper", but here are the ones that I e-mailed to Cheri.
I never actually used the non-powered vent because I feared that the AC would draw odors back through the vent into the camper. For that reason, I continued on and built a powered version of the vent. If anyone is interested in those photos, I'll post them.
