I'd love to see one of those truck campers in person. I really miss our big old camper, but really didn't like trying to load it onto the truck. It was so huge and heavy. What was really nice about it was that you could go just about everywhere with it and fit into any campsite.

And for me, once I have the basics, the more luxuries I have removes me from the camping experience and makes it feel less of an adventure. If I had a rig where I was never hot, never cold, never having to improvise, geez what fun would that be? Yes, balance works and for me a TM strikes a good balance in a number of areas.
I totally agree with you. We do pretty well in our tent too, in the summer. I just miss the propane powered refrigerator.

I bought my TM to go camping. Living full time in a multi$$$ motor home isn't camping. We all enjoy different things in life

What I've noticed from most of the others in campgrounds is admiration, even from folks in the humongous class 'A's.

One family in a big 5th wheel wanted to look inside and was really amazed at how our TM was laid out and what comforts it had. They saw us back into the site next to them, then got distracted for a few minutes. When they looked out again, there was this big, nice camper where that little box that we had backed in was. They just had to check it out. Of course we had a tour of their rig, too. It was nice and had what they wanted.

As many have said, it all depends on what you want and need. The TM is perfect for my darling bride and I.

I'll go with the "Form Follows Function" crowd. If it does what I want, I do not worry about what others think. Some of our best camping experiences happened in remote, hard to reach places that you could not drive one of the big rigs. Not knocking the "land yauchts," they are wonderful, but not what I want/need.
