Default Lavatory Faucet Dripping

2009 2720 SL. Last trip the Lav faucet would not stop dripping. Took it apart yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find out it uses Delta cartridges, o-rings and seals. Had them in stock for the house Deltas, so 20 minutes later DONE!

This is good news!

We also have an '09 2720.

This past weekend the cold side lav faucet ran a steady stream when switched off, so we had to keep turning off the water pump so as not to waste our fresh water.

I got the handles off, but when it came to unscrew the inserts, things felt a little fragile, so I thought I would search before I break something.

In my Search for faucet repairs, it looked like most threads were for faucet replacement, not repair.

I hope that is not my path - I would rather just repair old o-rings.

I started at the bathroom sink, on the hot side (L faucet). I removed the handles and saw a hex that might seat the insert. I tried to turn counter-clockwise with a crescent wrench and it did not want to turn, so I stopped for the night.

This morning I thought, "I wonder if the hot side is reverse-thread?". Meaning I would need to turn clockwise to loosen.

I hope to check at the lunch break.

Any tips or tricks are welcome!

Trying to loosen the housing that holds the faucet housing - I am afraid that I am going break something, or round off the hex. The piece looks to deform when I try to loosen.

The bathroom cold faucet is so close to the wall, there is not much room!

Any ideas TM folks?

I decided this was not the time to potentially break something - right before putting the camper back into storage.

When I get the TM out next time, I will try some penetrating oil through the top of the hex, and heat from my heat gun.

Meanwhile, if any others have had success loosening these, I would love to hear your stories!
