Discount Camping Clubs

Can anyone give me some information on camping clubs? The Good and Bad ones to look or not look at. National ones.

We only have GoodSams now since its discount is actually honored so far everytime we have used it. Recently CCUSA & Passport America merged same as GoosSams & Presidents Club did so choices are changing. We had CCUSA & I can honestly say we only had one stay that the half price was honored without issue.

We have been with Passport America now for three years. The only time you are not allowed to get the 50% discount is on Friday and Saturday nights. So that being said we never had any problems in our cross country trip or any other trip, we also have the Good Sam's club card.

We are Passport America and Good Sams members! PA is invaluable on cross country trips! We just got back from a trip to San Diego and stayed about 80% of the time in PA campgrounds. Good Sams about 10% and the rest with no discounts! We read the PA book as we go and line up our camping as we go! In over 20,000 miles of travel and no reservations ever, we were turned away once! It happened to be in Kenai, Alaska and the Salmon had just entered the Kenai River! The campgrounds were completely booked! We checked our PA book and found another, 20 miles away and were on our way! We have never camped without hookups and don't intend to start! Age has put a few restraints on us but we look for comfort around every corner!
