Our first posting; we recently purchased a '95 2720SL, really enjoying it so far. It has the older propane tanks without the overfill prevention device required now in so many states. Do we have to replace the tanks, or is there a retrofit for the current tanks? Also, I have seen ads for an "automatic" water heater for your shower, was wondering if anyone had used them.
Thanks,

I think propane tanks have a 10 year life(?). You may want to look at the date stamp on yours. A knowledgeable propane supplier "may" at some point tell you he can't refill the tanks. You may want to investigate this angle before investing in mods for your tanks.

Thanks for the info. Do I purchase the new tanks from trailmanor, or will my local propane company have the horizontal type?

Just did a quick google search for "horizontal propane tank". http://www.go2marine.com has horizonal propane tanks with gauge* comes with OPD valve net each $189.95(!!!!!) A while back when considering a third tank I looked into this and found pricing consistent with the aforementioned. You may want to call TM directly and your nearest TM dealer & get their feedback.

While filling my home BBQ tank at the local rental agency I saw a new fiberglass/composite propane tank. It was $89.00, had the OPD system, and with backlighting, the gas level was visible through the wall. This was for vertical application vs horizontal but it is hard to imagine $100 more for the horizontal valve...but then again, it is a "special" application.
