Default Shower towel bar removal

We just purchased a used 2004 2720SL. It appears that the low towel bar in the 'tub' will get in our way while we take showers. I want to remove it. Has anyone else done this? Anything we should know before we do it? Thank You.

I never gave that a thought. I do like it for wash rags the curtain covers it up too.

I removed mine from right after we purchased our 2006 2720SL I filled in the holes with almond colored caulk. It was in the way from the get go. I now use a telescoping shower caddy I found on clearance at Target for $3.75 (75% off). Works great to hold wet towels, shampoo, soap and the shower head.

I plan to do an even better mod to hold the shower holder. Just found everything I need while on vacation.

We removed our towel bar as part of the shower curtain mod: https://get.google.com/albumarchive/...M28oRr5p-hcaX5

The bar is stored and can be easily re-installed. The 4 screws used to mount the towel bar were placed back into the wall - thus avoiding the need to plug the openings.

I removed ours too -- I am nearly positive I caulked the holes, but since I have plastic over all the shower walls, I wasn't too concerned with moisture.
