I visited Art's RV and the service manager told me the weight limit on my rear receiver is 350, not 100 lbs. Mine is welded to the frame and not the rear bumper.

My factory welded rear hitch receiver on my 2005 TM 2720 has a sticker that very clearly says 100 pounds.

What sticker is your dealer reading?

I think the 100 pound sticker is probably from TM. Anything more behind the axle would probably produce sway.

TrishT,

What did you end up for your bike solution?

Hi Bruce / Cindy et al.

We decided to only take 3 bikes and put them on top of the TV. My husband did a ton of research and decided the bikes plus the rack was too much weight to put on the back of the TM. Getting the middle bike down from the center of the TV was not easy but it did work.

Default Dual Reciever

I am still considering my options on the same topic. My setup is almost the same as yours and I have thought about the double reciever hitch. The problem is, i feel it might add to much to the tongue wt......I dont know.

FYI, I bought a double reciever for about $30 from Harbor Freight for other purposes. It is a very sturdy unit.

I have been thinking about a double bar also. But instead of bicycles, I want to put a 300 pound motorcycle between the bed of the truck and the TM.

I think I have a solution, but it will cost me about $1,500, which is a little over my budget right now.

I wish I could load a 300 pound motorcycle on it.
