So yesterday I attempted to tackle the installation of my 100-watt solar panel. I was VERY bummed that it was about 1.5" too long to place it on the rear shell in an N/S configuration. I ended up placing it in an E/W direction and funning that cables down the arm and under the TM.

I ran out of steam (And daylight) so I am saving the battery replacement and final connections till Mon/Tues? (I live in a condo complex so I can't have my trailer occupying any space for longer than 24 hrs... GGrrrrrr)

I will snap some pic tomorrow and share them with ya'll

BTW, I bought a pair of wire strippers at Harbor Freight, on sale for $9.00. BEST TOOL INVESTMENT EVER!

UHHHHHH! Ya....... not "exactly"

Please tell me that you didn't hook that panel to the controller before wiring the battery to the controller.

A: Why can't I see the pictures I posted.
B: Zero cells are covered by the tape
C: I got the tape idea from a Youtube video
D: Eternabond does come off with a heat gun and some elbow grease.
E: I EXPRESSLY did NOT connect the panel to the controller, If you look carefully you can see that the panel is not connected to the wiring ;)
F: I will make the prescribed controller connection as instructed (Battery first THEN panel)

I can see the pictures....... but I'm magic:D.

Hard to tell from your pics..... maybe you were going 80mph.... :biggrinbo but it seems like you may have covered some of the tiny wires on the edge of the cells....... guess my magic isn't working that well.:new_all_c

Glad that you read the controller instructions. Some people miss that step and damage their controller.

And still no photos? I admit I am stumped. The usual problem is that the member who is trying to post misses a step, usually the one that requires scrolling way down off the bottom of the page and clicking "UPLOAD" or "SAVE" or one of those. Let me nose around and see if I can find anything.

What happened to the first post that link back to his photos". (before it disappeared) I clicked on that link then copy/pasted the web address to any one of the 3 pictures. I pasted that address into my browser, when that pic opened up, I was able to scroll though all 3 pics.

Wavery -

The idea is that the pics have to show up with the message, with no additional fuss. If you have to click on a link, then copy a web address, then open a new browser window, then paste the address into the new window, then repeat the whole thing for additional pictures, it won't be a very popular procedure - especially for folks who insist on using a phone for interacting with the forum.

Bill,

I wasn't suggesting that the normal procedure change.....

I was merely asking where that post went. All I did was copy/paste any one of the 3-IMG posts into my browser and I was able to view all 3 pics. I'm not suggesting that others do that, it was just a work around because the OP is having difficulty following the instructions.

I think that he is missing the part where he has to scroll down to see "Manage Attachments" (then open his pic file and post his pics) for the original post. If he wants to add pics in an edited post, he has to click on "Go Advanced" then scroll way down to "Manage Attachments".

I can't do any of that on my phone (probably because I'm old). I have to do it on my laptop. Just what I'm used to.

Pictures take two

This should work. All the tape is to the very edge of the cells but does not cover any part of it.
