Wild weather!!

John, The main problem is the lack of snow pack in the Sierras. It is only about 10% of normal and has been that way for the past three years. That melting snow pack is what fills the reservoirs and lakes. The rain helps, but it would be better not to get it all at once. 90% of what fell around where I live went straight into the ocean.

Now I got it. Makes sense. Why didn't I think of that. We just was on I215 and parts of it was flooded. Traffic almost stopped. Guess the sand in Florida, soaks the water better.

Camped at Mustang Park at Lake Benbrook in Ft Worth. Light wind and 85 yesterday.....bunch of folks went back to the house and got their tents.
It's now 46 deg, wind at 26 gusting to 38 mph....glad we have the TM. Looks like the tents went home. In the 30's tomorrow morning.

September was kind of crazy, we had rain just about every day with a bunch of frog stranglers. DB (60 miles from here) got almost 8" in a day. Unstand is a new record for here. And there is a cat 3 himmicane north of PR at the moment but unlikely to reach here.
