Where is the battery compartment

Where is the battery compartment? I'm not sure which model but on one pic I saw the battery was in the back compartment. Is this safe? Can you have dual batteries. What happens if you get a solar panel. Sorry about all the questions. But I plan to go fulltime and don't want to be tethered to power all the time. :new_newbi. Thanks for your help.

Battery location depends on the model. On my 3124 it sits on the frame in front by the propane tanks. Yes, you can have dual batteries. Solar power is now an option on new models.

On all models that have a pull-out slide on the front (2720SL, 3124KS, and I think 3326), the batteries are in the rear compartment in a quasi-sealed box that is vented to the outside. All other models have the batteries on the tongue.

I have dual batteries on my 2720SL, and they fit fine.

Battery location varies by model

Basically, the slide models have the battery(s) in back, the non-slide models have them in front on the hitch.

On my 2720SL the battery is in the rear compartment under the bed. There is room for another.

My 2720SL is in the back vented compartment and has two 6V batterys with a solar panel. The solar panel information display is under the lip of the main sink next to the water info panel.

Some dealers may move them also when they add a second battery - the Car Show moved ours (3124kb) off the tongue and into the rear compartment (venting it at the same time) when they switched us to dual 6V batteries.

So Yes, you can get a second battery as well (there's enough room back there for 4, but it would seriously affect the tongue weight, not to mention your pocketbook).
