What should I buy?

I'm vacillating about what model to get, the 2720sl or the 3124Ks. We have a few more weeks till vacation but everything is so far to go see even the closest dealer is 2.5 -3 hours away (even if I could afford new). You're right, I really don't want to buy someone else's problem. DH keeps looking at conventionals but I doubt I would ever drive with one whereas I would with a TrailManor. Sigh.....

You are cutting it close on schedule - maybe impossibly close. With only a few exceptions, TM dealers don't have every model and every color in stock, like a big Chevy or Toyota dealer might. And used RV dealers (if that is what you are considering) will have even less in stock. You might do well to get on the phone to the dealer you have in mind, and talk to him about it.

We have the 3124KS and love it...however,there are only 2 of us...retired...it is wonderful for us.

The one time that we carried some of the granddaughters with us was no fun.

If there will be more than the two of you on a frequent basis I would stay away from the 3124KS.

Bill's being kind I think. LOL you probably are out of time. Learning the ins and outs of the TM while on a long trip would not be fun for me. If you have lots of time to stop early and learn as you go with out being tired.....I'm wrong. Hope I am!

Don't give up on used ones, some of us have done well with used TM's. I suggest finding the "newest" used one you can to save a lot of money. GOOD LUCK!!!!

As you compare between TrailManors and conventional trailers, what type of tow vehicle do you plan to use? When we were shopping, we quickly discovered that the TM's lower weight and smaller towing profile were great benefits.

Comparing the two models, I presume only the two of you? Can you manage the little extra weight of the larger model? Keep in mind that the actual weight (with extra options added) will be more than the advertised weight. Again, without knowing your TV, I don't know if this is an issue for you.

We have a 3023 and enjoy the extra space it provides for family of 4. Especially when we bring the dog or stay in the camper during foul weather.

Just took our new-to-us 2006 2720SL on it's first trip this last weekend since joining the family last month. I took a few weeks to clean, inspect and research before actually taking it out for a trial trip.

I did have to replace a few things, a gas hose outside, small leak behind the shower fixture and a new battery and lot's of mods that weren't really necessary, but nice to have. Just ordered a new CO/Gas detector unit as well. Really didn't need to spend much money, but got the TM at about 2/3's off the new list price.

Remember, you'll need to get a few things before you take it, like a brake controller and towing mirrors.

There are just 3 of us and the 2720SL is just the right size for our family.

Hope that helps!

We will be towing with a 2003 Ford F150 with 4.6? v8. DH says we could tow as high as 10,000lbs but wants to keep it at most 80%. I have to admit that being able to stop and take a lunch or potty break or a quick nap without having to pop up everything would be nice. And those walk around beds are nice for us old farts to get in and out of. But the thought of a big hulk looming over behind me makes me shudder.
There's just the two of us and the parrot, (Patrick the Eclectus) in a cage of either 24 X 24 X 50h or a smaller cage of 24w X 16.25d x 28.5h.
Hubby is contemplating the brake controller and mirrors. Probably the Prodigy and McKesh.
I've been researching the TrailManors for a couple months. New is NOT an option. I don't want to go in debt so it's gonna have to be pre-loved. I'd like to get something newer than '04 but not finding anything in my range.
Luckily, Hubby is very handy and I'm no slouch.

Thanks, mtnguy. He checked with the ford dealer. I sent him your link too.
