Water Tank Monitoring via Mopeka Sensors?

I'm using Mopeka ultrasonic sensors for monitoring my propane tanks which has worked out pretty good and am considering their sensors for use of my fresh and gray water tanks.

Are any TrailManor owners on the board using them with their water tanks and can share their experience?

I took my TrailManor on a multi month trip which consisted of around 50% boondocking this Spring and found myself spending a significant amount of time trying to balance water and fuel usage with the weather conditions. (Trying to figure out if I had enough fresh water/ propane or wastewater capacity to add another day at a location when a day of bad weather would hit.)

Ultimately, I'd like to get my (fresh and gray) liquid tank info into a Victron Cerbo GX and mount a display on the panel area on the face of the cabinet of the kitchen sink so that I could have all relevant info in one place.

Even without pulling the Mopeka water tank info into a Cerbo, I still like the idea of being able to see liquid tank levels remotely so that I'm able to see water levels as I'm filling the freshwater tank when my TrailManor's shells are closed.

If anyone is using them for water I'd like to know specifically if you've found if they're accurate enough/ refresh often enough to be useful during freshwater tank filling.

I'm currently using one for my 10 gallon toilet black tank it seems to work pretty good. I would imagine it would probably work better with a fresh water and gray water tank.

Hi CJ,
Can you share the model Mopeka sensor that you're using for your toilet black tank?

Is it their Pro200 wired sensor, which gets installed on top of the tank?

No answer here but their website is very confusing. Even when looking at the model for poly tanks, it still mentions attachment via magnets. Plus, as you noted, it also mentions underside mounting, like the version for steel propane tanks. It's like they couldn't be bothered to write separate copy for each version. Makes no sense to me.

Update to this thread....
Digging exhaustively into all data available for Mopeka made it clear that their ultrasonic sensors can read from the either the bottom from a liquid tank or from the top only if only if a 1 1/4" inch is hole is drilled through the top of the liquid tank. So Mopeka ultrasonic tank sensors are only a tank monitoring solution for propane and gray water tanks of our TrailManors unless you're willing to have a potential leak from a top mounted sensor hole.

Wanting accurate propane, fresh water, gray water, and black water monitoring for my next longer trip in one place I've installed a mix of Mopeka sensors (for Propane and gray water) and Safiery radar sensors (for the fresh and black tank). The radar sensor mounts attach atop the tanks and read through the high-density polyethylene tank material.

The data from those sensors, along with my battery and solar stats,
and temperature data (for fridge / cabin/ exterior) from RuviTags is now fed into a Victron Energy Cerbo GX and displayed on the face of the kitchen sink cabinet on a 7" touch screen (and via local network web browser interface).

I've got lots more integration work to do, but am attaching the initial view from the Cerbo screen (as i was adding devices).
