Just did the Shane Denmark water tank fill mod on our 2024 2518. We have an upcoming trip to a NY state park where the site won't have any hookups. Now we can tow to the park, fill up at a faucet and then move to our site and open the trailer. Parts came from Home Depot. The hardest to find, by far, was the garden hose to 3/8 adapter. They have samples of all the fittings in front of the hanging bags but with this part, they had the wrong sample out front, making it near impossible to find. I've included the pics so anyone interested can search by part number. For hose clamps, I used the 3/8-5/8 size. Next size up should also work. Tested the mod and all works as it should. Thanks Shane

Where did you find the original idea and material list? I did a search on Shane Denmark, and it didn't produce a result.

Thanks

I saw the idea on the TM Facebook page. Sorry, but I don't have a link.

Understood. That's why I thought it would be helpful to post my pics here.

Is this the modification you did?

That's part of what I did. I also took the tank overflow, which comes out the side of the trailer and rerouted it (with a longer hose) to drain out underneath the trailer. Had to drill a hole in the floor for that but it was easy enough. By the way. I didn't know someone had posted a video. I'll add that it's much easier to attach the vinyl hose if you warm it first with a heat gun (low setting) or maybe dip it in very hot water.
