This last week I helped a friend drive his '76 GMC motor home that had been sitting for 15 years 1200 miles to Northern Arkansas. Didn't see any TrailManors or other GMC's for that matter.

Originally left 30 August. Left home at 5am, was in Clermont (30 miles) at 5:40. Back home at 11am. Radiator split. Wait 30 min to cool, add water, drive 5 miles, wait to cool, add water...

New radiator. Left last Friday around 3 pm, Tallahassee around dusk. Headlamps dim. Alternator not working.

N/A so cycle began: stop at motel, charge battery at 15.4A overnight, leave at dawn, find motel at dusk, repeat.

Can say that a GRP 31 AGM from Sam's could start and run a GMC with an Olds 455 all day including several stops and starts and still be above 11v.

So about 500 miles a day on battery alone. Of course no AC load since that did not work either.

Arrived around 4 pm on Sunday & stayed a few days with their family, flew back today. Interesting.

Sounds like one of "those" trips when everything goes haywire. We've had enough of those to last a lifetime.

So we don't need any more of "those".
