Trailmanor update

Depending on what department you try to reach they can be a little hard to get in touch with. However, I ordered some replacement parts about 2 months ago and again a couple weeks back directly from them so it would seem they are still operational.
FWIW: I too just ordered some parts. My original call was answered by VM, but Cleo returned my call shortly after. In the background, while on the call, I could hear air ratchets working away, they were actually quite loud. She said she would tell them to knock it off while on the call, but then they would not be building the trailers. I told her to please continue to make the trailers. :D

I, too, have ordered parts (a tire carrier), but my experience has been a bit different (possibly better). I placed my order (via email) on 5/3. It was a fairly long email string as I failed to satisfy my curiosity (did not ask enough questions) with my initial email. (That and having to get permission from the misses). Sonja was patient and helpful. I had confirmation that my order had shipped on 5/5 and the order arrived at my door on 5/11. I will acknowledge that I did not receive instructions (though I believe figured out how it is assembled / installed. Also, while I did receive the carrier itself, the rods on to which it gets installed and the wing-nuts that hold the tire on, I did not receive the bolts that affix the carrier to its bracket on the trailer. I've reached out to Sonja about this (last night) but have not yet heard back. (I know that I can get the bolts at a hardware store, but for the price I paid for the assembly...)

Gonzo -

I have had the same experience as you. I have interacted with Sonja a few times on the phone, and she is a sweetie. I finally met her in person the other day, and my original impression was confirmed. I told Cleo that she should get Sonja in front of the customers more, but I'm not sure Sonya is interested. She seems to enjoy what she is doing now.

I'm beginning to believe owning a Trailmanor just isn't in my future. The new 2015 2720QD I purchased from Custom RV in Ontario CA is sitting in an authorized Trailmanor repair facility in WA state waiting approval from Trailmanor to repair or return to factory or perhaps a factory buy back. It has a rather long list of construction issues that began to appear on our return trip. The most major of which is the separation from left front shell wall of the latching catch and steel trim that runs along the bottom of the wall. See attached photo.

That's terrible to hear!:( Maybe instead of looking for new (essentially anything built at the new factory) you should look for an older used one. That was my main reasoning for canceling my order of a 2016 and looking for one that was built at the original factory, by experienced builders. I haven't taken delivery of my 2006 yet, but checked it out a few weekends ago at CustomRV and everything looks good. Seems like you could get a better built TM and save some money if you look for a used one.

Again, sorry to hear about the 2015.

This does not bode well except for the value of my '06. But then I am unlikely to find a nice depreciated 2922SD to replace it.

Well, I met with Bob yesterday at the authorized repair facility in WA state, Auburn Kent Valley RV. The people at this RV facility went over my trailer extensively and created a list documented with photos of all it's shortcomings, it was reassuring having these people in my corner. The repairs needed to my trailer amount to nearly a frame up rebuild which is far more than the repair facility is willing to do. Bob said he would ship it to Nebraska and get it all fixed up. I asked what the time frame for all this work would be and he replied he'd have it back to me in 2 weeks. Just round trip transport time alone is approximately a week and I emphasized I purchased a new trailer so I really don't want sloppy construction repaired, I want it replaced. I said "keep the frame and appliances and replace everything else". I'm glad I didn't receive the MSO until last week so I haven't applied for the title and now won't until this is all straightened out. I couldn't see all that needs to be done happening in a week or even two and it isn't titled yet so I asked Bob to buy the trailer back, he replied he would evaluate it once it arrived in Nebraska.

That really does suck, to have " a New TM" that needs extensive repairs made. Tells me it was a rush job to get it out the door. Sorry to hear the bad news.

Wonder if the former factory employees still in Tennessee are sitting back saying "Serves them right for moving"? This move has been a disaster.

We all understand that there's only two ways TM can go from here: up (get better), or out (cease operations). Until we know which way it will be, I think it's responsible to continue to advise prospective buyers to look for quality used units.

Bob admitted the people that built it didn't quite know what they were doing so I don't think it was a rush job. How it passed quality control tells me there wasn't any QC, hopefully that's changed. This is a 2015 and was probably made early after the move with very inexperienced people. I told Bob I didn't want the same people working on it that built it. He said they're much better trained now and he has a new guy from California who knows RV construction. I guess it's wait and see, as I type this from my tent trailer (which I'm glad I didn't sell yet) in a state park campsite that, when I made the reservation, I thought we'd be in a new Trailmanor.

Looks like there is only the one Rise prototype for sale, no 2015 or 2016s, and just a few 2014s. Glad I have mine.

Glad I found mine when I did too! I hope they get it together, these are cool trailers , hate to see the company go under.

Have you talked to CustomRV at all and informed them of the issues? A little surprised all the issues got past their inspection.

When I was concerned about my new order they assured me that while they have seen some issues with the new units but that they would inspect and repair any issues. Glad I canceled my order and bought an older used. Built by the skilled workers in TN.

Also, someone is selling a 2013 2922KD in Colorado. Posted in the TM for sale section. Exact model you originally wanted, and manufactured at the old factory. Dump your 2015 on TM and go get that one!

I really don't think they inspected it very well because there was a short in the wiring. We spent over 6 1/2 hours there during our PDI and kept finding minor stuff and waited while they fixed them. We ending up coming back the next morning because of the wiring short. I probably talked or emailed Gena every other day reporting issues that arose over the next 8 days. Gena assured me that Auburn Kent Valley RV and the Trailmanor factory were made aware and would take care of everything. It started out with the bag seals not sealing, I was told it just needed some adjusting. The bathroom window needed to be replaced, Scott said he would order it and have it sent to Auburn Kent. A few days later the front shell latch catch and trim separated. The next day, on only the 4th time opening it, the slide out jumped off it's track. Once we got it home and over to Auburn Kent they pointed out a several more things that weren't right. In hindsight I regret not returning it to Custom RV when the major stuff started happening but we were closer to home and out of time.

What is this new line by trailmanor "TrailView"

I didn't think they got the rise out the door? Are they spreading themselves out to thin???
