towing with a Tacoma

We are considering buying a Model 2619 and want to tow with a 2007 Tacoma Prerunner (6 cyl). We do not have the towing package but have a class 4 factory mounted hitch with indicates a tow limit of 5000 lbs. Is this vehicle sufficient to handle this size TM.
