Toilet options for an old 2005 TM

I currently have the wonderful recirculating toilet in my TM 2720. What's the replacement option for this since Thetford is no longer making these?

Has anyone tried plumbing a flush toilet in this camper? Is it even possible? I looked under there and the only area left is a 2 foot area behind the grey tank to the back tension bars. So not alot of room. And then you would have to redesign all of the exterior plumbing to make it all work.

Just wondering if the only option for these trailmanors is either a composting or cassette toilet?

Dometic SeaLand Traveler 711-M28C, or SeaLand for short. It’s a real porcelain toilet with fresh water flush that sits on top of a pedestal. The pedestal is a 10 gallon black tank that dumps out through the bottom plumbing. It’s about as close to a “regular” RV toilet as you’ll get without some serious creativity. There’s a some-assembly-required version known as the Poor Man’s SeaLand (PMS) that takes a bit of handiwork but can be put together for less than half the cost of the Dometic version. Search “SeaLand” on this website and you’ll find a ton of posts discussing installation, etc.

Thank you Shane that toilet looks great. How did you get that black box on the bottom? Is that an add on? It looks great!

So I just looked it up and the only thing that concerns me is the weight. At around 52 lbs. It's a substantial bump up from the existing thetford electra magic 80 which is only 10lbs. Reason I am concerned is that I already increased some weight on that side with a larger kitchen sink upgrade. So I am about 12 lbs. heavier already.

I have no answer for the weight difference. But having an actual toilet is worth the 40lb difference.

Oh I agree with you 100% on that one. I am just going to shift some weight to the other side. Our recirculating toilet is still OK for now but I am going to order this one and just replace it. I like the idea of flush style toilet.

I also like the black tank on the Poor man's version. But can't find the poor man's toilet online.

I think of you search Poor Man’s SeaLand here you’ll find a couple posts with parts lists. You have to put it together piecemeal. It’s not sold as a kit.

Thanks I found it... also found folks use a thetfort toilet over the poor mans. Thetford makes a toilet that is plastic and is only 5 lbs.

Just a word of warning about the Sealand/Dometic toilet - I've been trying to order one from Scamp Trailers since February. They've been out of stock due to supply issues, according to Scamp. I noticed today that the toilet/tank combo isn't even listed on their website anymore. I also asked Ardemco if they have the tank with the bottom discharge, but never heard back from them.

TrailManor is now installing the SeaLand in their campers from the factory so they must be available somewhere. Or maybe they are spin welding their own drain into the boat version?
