I've been looking into Trailmanors and am at the stage where I would love to see a couple, or even one. It seems the nearest dealer to me is well over 300 miles away in MA.

Does anyone have advice on how I could see a Trailmanor that is closer to Philadelphia?

The dealer locator on trailmanor.com is flakey.

I haven't looked at a map to see where Palmerton is in relation to you, but there is a TM Rally at Don Laine Campground 9/19-21. A rally is a great way to look at TMs because you get to speak with owners instead of salespeople. Unfortunately you just missed one in Rockwood 6/8-9. - camp2canoe

Thank you everyone for replying. I'm going to check out a 27 tomorrow at
Maiden Creek Marine, they only have the 27 and a used 26. There are a number of TM's at Reichart's Camping Center, but that is a 2 1/2 hour drive and I can't make that just now.

Today I saw the Hi-Lo's and they seemed a bit small to me, but I'm just starting to look into trailers so maybe that's the norm. Also, I'm not sure my wife would go for the bathroom that was exposed at the top.

I saw an interesting trailer today called an "Outback" that had a slide out bed. It was 23 feet, but opened to around 28 I guess with the bed slid out. I know I would be towing a regular sized trailer, not a low trailer like the TM, but it was still interesting. Does anyone have any opionoins on the Outback? Is there another website I should check for user reviews and opinions on trailers other than TM's?

Tanks for all the help, this is getting fun!

We had a 33 ft Outback Sydney...and I loved it. My dh did not care for it....he felt he was dragging a condo and not camping. We both love our Trailmanor and it is much better on mpg. I think that the ones with the slide out beds are shorter then the Sydneys so you could probably get a little better mpg then we did.

The site you want to visit is: www.outbackers.com it is huge and the folks are very friendly, helpful and some times silly/playful.

A Tm Is Worth The Drive

My wife & I drove over 5 hours from S.C. to W.V. to look at (and buy!!) a TM 3124 KING. Being able to get a TM was worth every mile!!!! The dealer I bought from even gave me a credit to cover the gas & hotel room!! You might not be that lucky but trust "ALL OF US" when we say you can't go wrong with a TM!! Good luck in your search!!!!

Ken -

As you recognize, the Outback is a larger heavier trailer than a TM. If you can handle that, it is a nice trailer. You need to be aware, though, the the end bedrooms on an Outback are canvas-walled, and because of that, you will be turned away from many western campgrounds because of the bear problems. I'm thinking of Yellowstone/Fishing Bridge, Yosemite, King's Canyon, and undoubtedly others.
Check it out.

Thanks Bill, I think I'm getting more confused. The Outback that I saw (it was 23 ft) had a hard slide out bed. Are you saying that I wouldn't be able to get into some parks with this? I thought that was only the case with Hybrids that had canvas slides?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer on this.
