Tire Pressure Guages

Anyone use a digital tire pressure guage that they know is really accurate? If so, what brand is it? I'm trying to make sure my TM tires are inflated properly, but I got different readings on three guages (63, 64 & 66 psi) and then even a different reading on my TPMS (62 psi). I'm trying to inflate tires to 65psi.

Any quality digital gauge for about $20-$25 will work.

The old style get dirty, bent and can vary by up to 5 PSI

All the guages I have are digital and I get different readings. Wish I knew which one was correct.

As long as they are all in the same ballpark, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The pressure in the tires is going to fluctuate that much just from temperature changes.

I would average the readings or maybe just go by the one that reads lowest.

Digital gauges are often not calibrated or do not keep their calibration. I notice that my Jeep tire sensors don't all agree. One reading on a gauge, dirfferent ones on all 4 tires. Same with the Dill internal sensors on my trailer tires.

The JACO Pro Elite only costs about $25.00. It was the best-rated on the website, and it has lots of favorable reviews on Amazon.

When purchasing a tire gauge, check to be certain that it will cover the pressure range that you need. Some just go to 50 lbs/psi, or even less.

Most important is precision, which refers to getting the same reading each time. I'm not too worried if the measurement is off by even 4 or 5 because it's probably more important that all tires are at the same pressure.

Don't forget that as you start driving, the pressure will increase as the rolling resistance increases the air pressure. Loading your trailer unevenly will cause one tire to heat up and raise the pressure more.

I have the same issue, all different readings by a couple of lbs. Just use the same gauge for all the tire and add a few lbs to play it safe.
