The Thetford Recirculating Toilet

So, I replaced the seal, but the toilet still leaks after opening the dump valve. I can see water coming from the slide valve near the rod for the pull. Do I need to replace the slide valve as well? Yes, and yes. You may be able to find a lower price for the Slide-EZ valve, and it easy to replace once you have the toilet off the floor. As an alternative, you may be able to buy a set of the rubber seals used inside the Slide-EZ valve - these are usually what fail. It is quick and easy to disassemble the valve and replace them. If you decide to go ahead with the job, I would suggest you do it soon, as parts are becoming scarce.

In case you missed it, I posted the message below on the TrailManor Fans FB group a few days ago. I'll also add Shane's response. I'm located just south of Austin, TX. I also plan to attend the South Central Heartland rally in Dodge City, KS the second weekend in October... I could take it with me then, if there's interest and I haven't trashed it by then.

Following the lead of Don Steaples and Susan Luckhurst, I am replacing my Thetford recirculating toilet with a Thetford C-223CS cassette toilet in my 2004 2619. Before I junk the old recirculating toilet, I thought I'd offer it up to anyone who wants it or parts of it. I have the to cover with the flush switch, although it's not shown in the pictures.

You pick it up or pay shipping costs. I'll hang onto it for a few weeks before I scrap it.

I also replaced the old Coleman-Mach III 13.5K BTU air conditioner with a Turbro Inverter 13.5K BTU AC with Heat Pump. It still worked when I removed it. If anyone wants that, let me know. I'll probably junk it in August if nobody wants it.

everyone: The pump assembly is huge money if you can find one, the seat and lid only came as part of an assembly with the entire bowl, and the vinyl flap hasn’t been available for years. If you’re keeping your Thetford recirculating toilet, start snatching up spare parts!
