Does it really taste like the real thing ?
Thinking about getting one for camping

I have one and LOVE it, but I only put a little lemon juice in my water. I weaned myself off soda years ago and now if I drink any it tastes like syrup - way too sweet. I did try some of the sample syrups that came with the Sodastream - many have artificial sweeteners, which give me a headache, but others I know who have them say some of the flavors are very close to store bought. They also have a natural line that is sweetened with sugar. You can also make your own flavor syrups or add things like fruit juice. I was buying 6-8 1 liter bottles of sparkling water at $1.09/bottle before I got my Sodastream - I did the math and it costs me about $0.50 to make a liter, so eventually it will pay for itself.
