I'm on my second 2720 SL TM a 2013 Model, the first a 2004. On both TMs the metal frame paint job has evidently been inadequate, poor primer or metal prep as the paint on both peels off and the frame rusts. Similar issue with the white painted uprights, rust spots appearing. I have had to sand, use rust neutralizer and Rustoleum paint to correct these deficiencies on both TMs. This is a quality control issue IMHO pointing to inadequate metal paint preparation and painting techniques.
