So my roof seals are old and fraying and will very soon be leaking ..... so this summer I want to replace them rather than just caulk, patch and do a temporary repair. TrailManor has quoted me $75 per kit and $20 shipping for both end kits $170 shipped for both seals. I've done an advanced search for a 'how to replace' these seals and come up with nothing. Has anybody done this job with some recommendations before I attempt it - cheers !

Those roof seals are called "bag seals". If you do a Search on that phrase, you will find a lot of information and experiences, including some very detailed replacement experiences. When I get back from the dentist today, I'll see if I can point out some specifics. Other members surely will also.

I replaced mine on a2003 2720 and replaced the rotting wood following instructions gained from this site. Very doable and not too difficult. As I remember it took 3 evenings of work maybe 10 hrs total. Briefly, unscrewed metal trim and removed, bent trailer skin to remove rotten wood, replaced wood had to customize size of wood,, stapled on new bag seals , used a Marine uv fabric with new foam, bent back trailer skin and replaced trim. No leaks and seals well. I am a cheapskate accountant not a handyman.
