Just wondering if anyone remembers who sold the "Worlds Best Potato Baker" at the Jubilee? We bought one but can't remember who it was and where they were from.

Potato Baker

We are the ones that sold the potato bakers. All the way from Arizona. Hope all who bought them get good use of them. If anyone would like the instructions to build one, let us know.

Bruce & Fay we just wanted to let you know that it was the best thing we ever bought. Baked potato's were great. Also wanted to let you know that we did a Cornish Hen (rinsed it , covered with olive oil then sprinkled with lemon pepper inside and out 3 layers of foil left about 1hr 20 minutes) was WONDERFUL!!! you need to try it. Now we will need to make another one so we can do the whole meal. Thanks for sharing it.

Potato Baker

I missed the Demonstration of this interesting device while attending the national rally... Bob & Cathy you need to bring this baker to our Dixie Fall Rally in Cleveland Ga and show us how it works... It would make a great show and tell at our campfire meetings....

They are new paint cans. Can be bought at any hardware store.

Thanks for the directions, but it would be beyond my skills to make one. If you have any left from the rally I'd love to buy one. Thanks Cynthia

We are not in the business of selling the potato bakers. We made a few of them at one of our Good Sam campouts, and had some left over that we sold at the Jubilee. If there is enough interest in them, we can make up some more and send them to anyone that wants them. Email us for details.

What about posting the instructions? I would like to see how to make one although the pic shows it pretty good. Also I am interested in how it works exactly.

I am also intrested in how to use this. It looks fairly simple to make. Do you place it over coals in a campfire?

you place charcoal in the bottom.(about 8-10 matchlight briquets) wrap your food in 2 layers of foil. after flames from briquets is out place food inside can place lid on top (don't force it on) and let it go for about an hour. We did the potato's YUMMY and cornish hen which we left 1 hour 20 mins. YUMMY YUMMY!!
