Recently bought 2007 2720mand front shell was extremely hard to open, should I increase tension on torsion bars or check for possible problem or breakage. If so where do I look

Do you have any extra weight on the front roof (solar panels, roof rack, grandma's rocking chair, small car, helicopter landing pad, etc)?

If not, try tightening the large bolts that put pressure on your torsion bars. Do it with the roof open and just 1/4 turn at a time, then test. There are 2-front and 2-rear adjustment points for each roof. If I remember correctly, those bolts are 1 1/8".

Some people lower the tongue as far as possible to give some gravity assist. It works too.
