Need some assistance, 2720 or 2619?

Thanks everybody, we decided on a 2720SL model as new as we can find.

Congrats on choosing a 2720SL. We love ours. It took two years for us to decided and we stumbled on one on Craigs list while looking for items for scout camp (I'm a camp director). While the item I was looking for had been sold, I just decided to see if there was a TM locally. Voila, there was a 2720SL the next city over from us. How lucky was that! And we got a great price.

The outside storage compartment holds a lot. I keep two camp chairs, a large rei folding table, a small round folding table, a large mat for under the awning, water hose, water filter, misc stuff, a really handy compartment.
The inside storage compartment I've yet to really use,but collects misc stuff I'm not sure where else to store. It is a narrow but deep compartment. I do keep my small Sears wet/dry vac there-just fits.
And the queen bed works well for two adults although the king bed would be better yet if that was the only consideration.

Correct. The rear trunk is spacious. I keep 6 camp chairs, 8 piece rubber mat system, folding camp table, 2 water hoses, 30a extension cable, camp shovel, sewer hose elbows, mini compressor, tools. Inside under the bed, we store all bedding, pillows, 2 electric table fans, small electric ceramic heater, tent, sleeping bag and the rear bed step stool. Ours has a hanger rod so we can store jackets as well. We keep our shoes in one or more of the drawers under the sofa. Wardrobe closet with hanger bar is very functional. Place a shelve 1/3 to the bottom for upper and lower items.

We found a few TM 2720sl's within a day's drive (700 miles) but WOW prices are all over the place for the same year model. For instance, I found one 2006 2720sl with plenty upgrades and well kept for $8500 but also found the same type deal for $12500, and these were both private sellers . . .

The NADA price says low retail $7680 and high retail $9250 for the 2006 2720sl model. Guess some people are holding out for that pot of gold

$8500 is about right this month for a well maintained '06 2720SL. I bought mine for about that out the door with a number of extras but decided to change the 14 inch wheels/tires for 205/75R15 LRDs for a little under $400 more.

There is this one Florida dealer that has been spamming Craigslist with an '06 2720SL for $12.5K for a couple of months now. Have seen a few others but have to wade through the dreck to find.

'06 seems to have been a good year for TM, is one of the few that VINs indicate production over 500 units.

All I can say is that '06 2720SLs for $8500 sell quickly and ones for $12,500 do not (keep seeing them relisted). Did think about the '08 3326 for $12k that is close to you but already have my 2720SL.

Lot of variables on price: geography helps determine supply and demand;condition, varies a lot; options, pretty straight forward; and then perspective of seller-some view their TM's emotionally (understandable) others just want to move it and many just want a "reasonable" price.
Good luck, there is one in good condition, fairly priced if you just keep looking.
