Looking for suggestions on where to store a dining table leaf

Any suggestions on where to store a table leaf? On our old 2000 3124KB model, it would fit behind the folded-down table. On our just-purchased 2024 3124KB, the leaf interferes with the table folding down. There's a wooden strip across the back of the pocket (see picture), plus I think the leaf might interfere with the folded leg support even if the wood strip wasn't there. Any suggestions on where to store the leaf would be appreciated. Thank You

Do you use the leaf a lot? I've let it under the front mattress, maybe where yer feet are, that shouldn't prevent sleeping. Or maybe with command strips place in an area where it's accessible, but out of the way. Armoire wall?

Mine is setting on top the fresh water tank. Under cushion and the board that the cushion sets on
