As some may know before becoming a TM convert I had a motor home: a 21 ft class A with a turbo diesel that was built from 1986 to 1989.

Streamlined and with a belly pan the performance of a 6300 lb RV with a 2.4 liter turbo diesel and a 5 speed manual transaxle has always been unusual.

At the Arizona mile this June one recorded 108.9 mph for a flying mile.

However my TM has more room.

Okay, so a taped-up polished-down fibreglass bullet did 107 MPH (but unlike the Bonneville Salt Flats, it don't run the other way).

I have no problem with that.

Only tape I saw was on the door hinges & skirt latches. Imagine there was some on the leading edge of the roof pop-up to prevent popping. Even still has the radio antenna. My '86 Vixen looked exactly like that (different wheels) when the roof was folded down. Sold it for quite a bit more than I paid for the TM.
