I was looking to upgrade my pop up and saw a TM, never even knew they existed and had to have it. I like that it fits in garage and is easy to tow. So now that I have a 2008 2720LS, I have a few questions.

1. Its stored in garage, should I disconnect battery? And/or should I plug it into house before I go camping to charge battery? How long?

2. I just bought 3500w 4000w peak generator, can I run A/C ( for wife) and how long should I run generator to charge battery?

3. I can't find for the life of me the size of water tank, and holding tank?

1. I'd put a battery maintainer on it.
2. From what I understand, a 4kw generator is enough to run the AC. A 3.5 may be too low for initial starting load.
3. If your asking about the hot water tank, its 6 gal. The fresh water holding tank should be 40 and there is no black water holding tank. The gray tank should be 30.

I have a 2500/2200 generator that starts the AC just fine at sea level. Understand it must be derated abouve 2,000 feet. Either way a 4kw peak should be pleanty

On generator or 120vac, the batteries will take the same time to charge. How long depends on how big the batteries are and the charge rate.

If you have a 2720SL (there is no LS) with the front slide out & sofa like mine, the battery is in the rear compartment and not accessible when the TM is closed. If I knew it wasn'y going anywhere for a few months, I'd pull the battery and put in the garage on a wood plank and attach a little float charger.

Stock fresh water tank was 20 gal though I understand a 40 gal was available. Do not think you would want a fresh water tank bigger than the gray water tank.

if you have 120 volts running through a thirty amp system you wind up with 3600 watts (I think -- its been a while) so 4k seems to be more than enough

hi yas & welcome,
if I start with a charged battery, kinda seems a hour or so a day keeps it charged , or it does for us ,
you should be fine on the power to run your a/c ,, we have a 3k and does a fine job.
and like others said , best $12.00 spent,

Welcome to the TM Forum.
Quite a step up from a regular pop top.
U will have no problem with the wattage of the generator but, I hope you bought one of the quieter generators and not a loud commercial one!
