:) Today a representative from the Bank of American came in and brought me a wrapped goody basket that looked like it had candy in it. We had a nice chat, and then after she left, I looked in the basket, and there was an IPod Shuffle in it, plus a $10 certificate to ITunes! :D

I love this thing. I am having so much fun with it! Downloaded a bunch of songs, and there is still room for plenty more. I should have bought one of these a long, long time ago. Takes up a lot less room than a lot of CD's.

Great stereo sound, too! I love this thing!

That was a thoughtful gift from BOA - you must be a good customer :) Glad you are happy with your iPod! I bought my first one (a generation 2) a few years ago. I later bought a "Photo iPod" which I use most of the time now. A while ago, I installed a new radio with a front panel auxiliary jack in the TrailManor. I plug the iPod into the radio and have an endless supply of "tunes". We never go camping without it ;)

I can play mine in the car too...only have a tape deck, but there's an accessory for the tape deck (like a cassette tape) that has a wire on it that connects to the IPod. Now I want to put a radio in the TM!

iPod

I should have mentioned that we like to listen to "Audio Books" on the iPod too. Not sure we ever would have read "The Davinci Code" had it not been for listening to the Audio Book. We use a 1/8" two way adapter plug so we can connect two sets of headphones.;)

DH has one. I have been resisting. I use his itunes and burn cds but I can't shuffle with that. I hear large stereo system sales are down because of the ipod accessories that have a port with speakers for room music. No more need for cd/tape player. I may have to give in and get one.
How does this relate to the TM, you might ask? It takes up less space, of course!:)

Boy, I wish the last post had not been removed. When I came back to find out how to get the discount on the new XM radio, it was gone.

Hey RadioJon, Send me a PM to tell me how to get the discount!

Thanks.

RV app for Ipod

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but it's the closest I'm finding.

I just got this terrific app for my Ipod touch. http://www.iappphone.com/apps/329195954/rv-companion/

Now I'm waiting for Bill to delete this as spam :p It's not! I've already gotten rid of two checklists! I love it! It's worth it just for the to do list.

IPOD App

I use the RV Companion also and find it very useful, especially the 4 way level function. The todo list also allows me to remember what to bring the next time.

Malinda - Of course it's not spam! You're not offering to sell anything, or soliciting anyone to send you money. Talking about your iPod is like describing which gas grill you use. It is not spam UNLESS you set up shop and try to sell gas grills here. That was the problem with the original post.

Played with this. It would be a really good app if they had a way to import the checklists and procedures so you did not have to enter on the portable device. Sent them this suggestion. Will see what happens.

I was mostly kidding Bill ;)

I guess my Ipod is new enough that I don't mind entering information. Our checklists aren't that long anymore anyway. They used to be when we first got our Bounder but not so much anymore. The To Do part is really great.

My Ipod shuffle died a couple of years ago, it was fun while it lasted, but the capacity was, well, about the same as a small CD case of CD's. IMHO it was pretty much a throwaway item.

I recently bought myself a Zune 120 GB for a Christmas present. My kids both have one, they've been very reliable, and I don't want to pay for satellite radio, don't have a CD player in the car (it's a 1995, yes I am cheap, trying to save up for retirement and pay for 2 kids in college at the same time) and it works great for me. It's not that compact, but I have a lot of music on there and there's room for much, much more. It also holds photos and videos.

Wow, it only lasted a year or so then? Hopefully that isn't the case with the itouch... I just got mine when I found out how well it worked with the Ford Sync system... I like the hands free use. I had a tape player in my '93 Explorer and I probably would still have the Explorer except that I took advantage of the "cash for clunkers" ... and when Costco had a great rebate on the Itouch in September DH got it for me.
