When I want to warm up and relax, I think of the song "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem" by Kenny Chesney. :)

That right there is dangerous thinking my friend.

I started thinking like that in 1983. By 1984 I sold everything I owned, bought a sailboat and didn't return to the US until 1998.

I can't say that I don't miss the island life (that video is just the way it is) but I would miss my grandkids more. Maybe after they are all teenagers, I might start thinking about it again.

:) -- and maybe sooner if you can find a mod to make a TM float -- eh! :)

It is too late. I have a little place in Gulf Shores, Alabama which is Jimmy Buffett territory.

You are right about the grandkids. They are little Granddaddy magnets but they are little beach babies.

I would like to hear what are the favorite beach/summertime songs that other posters like.

He has been looking for years for a video where he could take his shirt off!

IMHO, this is the best song by the group, Alabama and surprisingly it is a summer song. Shaggin' is a dance best done on a slightly sandy floor. It is very popular on the Carolina coastline. Enjoy.

We're in the teens today, below zero tonight, won't get above zero tomorrow, down to 18 or 19 below tomorrow night . . . (Sorry Wayne, I know it's painful for you to even read such things)

Margaritaville sounds pretty good to me

74 here in fl - but with the wind chill it will drop to 71

LOL! I cancelled reservations that would have started tomorrow at Buckskin Mountain State Park in Arizona because I just HAD TO replace all of our kitchen appliances . . . Buckskin is one of our favorite places to go. It's on the Colorado, between Havasu and Parker. I'm really not feeling that kind of love for my appliances right now :p

I hope that you brought your poor TM in out of the cold.....:new_all_c

I hate to burst everyone's "summertime bubble", but I love the cold!!...but then here in New Orleans, we never get the kinds of winters some of you get.
We're in the 70's today, dropping down to the 30-40 by tomorrow. I can't wait to go sit on my patio tomorrow night.

As for my choice of a song.... "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..."

<sigh>
We left our Elkmont+truck in Fort Myers Fl area end of December and flew back to the great white north for business/family/recreational reasons. My wife really likes X-country skiing and to "frolic" in the snow.

But it got down to -32C (-27F) the other night, plus the "frolic" has turned to "shovel". And we're really getting tired of carrying in more wood for the stove.

So the return to Fort Myers next week is looking better and better. We plan on slowly hauling everything back up to Ontario, arriving around the end of March.
