Once I got Google Earth, Base Camp, and Mapsource installed and running on the new win 10 machine I found that Google Earth wouldn't launch from view in either program.
Turns out with the latest version of Google Earth either the free or Pro there is a patch to make.

Where it has \Google Earth Pro\, just delete the space and Pro for the free version so the line looks like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Earth\client\googleearth.exe" /RegServer (works with Google Earth Pro in Win 7...10)
Do verify the path and if your not in the root directery at the CMD prompt just enter this first CD C:\ then press the enter key.
