I tried to do the price match but the URL above stopped working. I found another one but it had some odd limitation like you could only order max $75 of items (the tire was on sale for $59.99). So it ended up not working out. The tires on my new-to-me 3124KB are from 2014 so I'm tempted to go this season with them but on the fence. I checked the spare and found it was from 2006 and the spare holder either indented the tire quite a bit or was wearing the rubber (dramatically).

When you get new tires, do you get new for the spare too? I did that on my boat trailer (3 brand new tires including the spare). But I wondered if maybe some might move say one of the 2014 to be the spare and put on two new ones (using the current spare as one rim to change)? Not sure if pennywise pound foolish (guessing if I have to ask, it probably is ).

When I ask about install, I am not talking about just putting the tires on the rim. I am referring to taking your TrailManor to the dealer and removing old tires, then doing all involved in putting the new tires on rims, balancing etc and placing them back on theTM for me.

I am not capable of taking them off and putting back on the TM.

Has anyone had the dealer do it from start to finish by towing your trailer to the dealer? Approx how long does the entire process take?

When I replaced my tires, the dealer did all the work. They normally did not replace rv trailer tires. They were clueless on where to put the jack to get the tires off. I had to open the shells so we could remove the wheel covers. It took a bit, but it all worked out. I had an appointment and went early to educate them, so they didn’t damage the trailer.

I bring the wheels in to the shop. Too big of PITA hitching up etc...

I do the spare at the same time.

I use 5 year old rule for tires I do. But some people use 3 years and 7 years, etc. If they were not tires I installed, I would replace them. you don't know how the PO took care of the tires. Under inflated and/or running at higher speeds greatly reduce tires life.

I brought the TM to America's Tire in Redding (I blew a tire on I-5), parked alongside the store, raised the tires off the ground on 4 stabilizers, and took off the wheel covers. This left the tire folks to do stuff they do every day.

Each of the stabilizers was rated for greater than the weight of the trailer. The big risk is that you somehow put sideways force on the stabilizers. Not unlike a car jack. It's not that difficult to knock the trailer right off of them.

Thanks Bruce this is exactly the type of information I was looking for. Because I am totally uneducated on how to replace tires ... it’s been probably 25 years since I’ve had to do it, I’m assuming that before you jack it up they loosen the lug nuts?? Forgive my ignorance.

As for taking off the wheel covers how difficult is that and how do you do it? are they attached with screws?

The wheel covers are attached with two screws. Remove the screws and lift the cover up just enough to clear the formed cleat that secures the cover in place. The screws use a #2 square bit.
