Eliminating Sewer Hose

My 2024 TM has a cassette toilet so no black waste ever enters the black (grey?) tank. As a result, I see no need for a bulky sewer hose and would prefer to use a standard garden hose to drain the tank, thanks to these adapter caps you can get. Am I missing something or does this approach make sense?

I've used this cap to drain my grey water at home. This will work at the campground, but it takes a lot longer to drain the water. Which is not good camper etiquette. When heading home, I've sat in a short and long line to drain my grey tank. Being efficient and as quick as possible, without making a mess, is what folks behind you want/expect.
As I said, I've drained my grey tank at home, into my rose bushes. I don't always do it, but its an option for me. Some folks have a sewage drain near their camper parking spot, and drain into that.
Check this idea out.

Good point. I'm new to this and didn't know that dump stations get crowded. I'll get a proper sewer hose. Are those support legs needed as well? Read somewhere that some campgrounds require them but don't know how common that requirement is.

Thanks.

If you’re connected to a sewer hookup at your campsite, you’ll want a hose support because as we all know, crap only rolls one direction. Yes some campgrounds (maybe some states?) don’t require them. You wouldn’t take the time to set one up at a dump station though… Again, being quick is key.
