We just bought a 2417KS and will be adding some storage. Not sure the storage options we can purchase from TrailManor are best for the 2417 so wondering if anyone out there has any ideas for additional, light storage. If so, please send pics.

Can build ... my husband is very handy.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Lotsoftime, welcome to the forum. When you say storage, are you talking about the cabinets or something else? This forum had a ton of information to offer you and if you had not though about joining, I can tell you from my own experience, it's the best $12 you can ever spend.
I've added storage either with plastic bins, shelves or drawers where possible. If there is an open space, I use it. To store my dump hose I use a 5" plastic post and zip tied it to the front frame. The drawers are the type used for an office, the red top is an oven pan from Ikea and I topped it with a metal shelf I found on sale. If you haven't looked at the 3M command products they too give you some good ideas.
I try to keep my storage as simple as possible, so that it's easy to setup or take down.
Again welcome to the forum.

My cabinet and chest were from TM, but if you can build them, go ahead.

The hanging cabinet is mounted (and removable) with slot-and-insert hangers, or whatever they are called. Two thin receivers are mounted on the wall, and the cabinet has the clip mounted on it. We keep paper products in it, so it is light to lift.

3-drawer chest fits on the floor by the fridge when camping, and on the slide (we have the dinette slide) when traveling.

Both work well for us. We also use bins for food, so they are easy to have on the counter by the sink, on the bathroom during the day (we leave it down during the day), or on the beds during the day.

I also built a pvc "wardrobe rack", which I don't have a picture of. 2' long, and sits by the door. Hang shirts and coats on it, with the rest of clothing in the chest of drawers. Keeps the bags minimized.

If you have a wardrobe, I put 3 shelves in the left side like a pantry and the right side is still open for hanging cloths. This works great for us and I can actually put the dry good in the wardrobe and then put it down for towing. I put heavier items in a small laundry basket on the floor when towing and when I open up at the campground I can put the groceries away and when closing up I put the groceries back in the basket and take the unused item home. I use the pantry every time we go camping.

Well you could attach a carrier to the rear bumper and put a roof-type enclosure or even a steamer trunk on it.

I suspect that is part of the reason the 2720SL (QS) is the most popular TM.

The 2417 does not have the rear storage area. My first pupup and with 4 kids. Storage was limited. We use to have 3-4 plastic totes with covers. We would put them on the floor for traveling and then put them under the camper when we setup.

We used the inside storage areas for the every day stuff that was used a lot. The totes we used for the one-in-a-bluemoon and the stuff I need for setting up the camper.

Modifications for storage are very subjective because different people want to carry different items and perhaps store them differently. I'd suggest you take your time and figure out what seems to meet your needs best.
I hope you also join and participate in the Forum.
Enjoy.

Years back I had a friend attach a storage "rack" to the rear of his Aliner. A frame camper. I'm wondering if that's something that could be done to the trailmanor as well. Or would it throw it off when pulling? It was just enough to put a few totes on for outside storage.

Smalls69, if I can suggest, add what version and year of TM you have. Makes answering questions a bit easier. Some have added storage on the back of the campers. Do you have a square bumper or the deeper one? How much weight were you looking at carrying?
