Hi there,

We are pulling a pop up tent trailer and really interested in moving up to a TM. I can't seem to find any for sale in Canada, and that's fine, we are always down for a road trip. I'd just really like to go and see one first, try to set up/tear down, feel it out for space etc. I guess that's a lot to ask of a stranger but does anyone here happen to be from Ontario and wouldn't mind a visit?

Thanks
Joanna

I thought there used to be a dealer in Ontario some years back. If you can find out who it was, you may be able to find some used ones to look at. I did find this on autotrader.ca:

It appears they're in Cambridge ON.

I saw three locally in the Vancouver area being sold privately during the spring. Each time I'd call, they'd already been sold! I finally got to see one when I drove down to Tacoma WA, where I bought it.

Thanks Larry, I saw that one in Cambridge, and have been trying to contact them but no luck. I guess we might have to do a roadtrip for recon. I'm thinking it will be no trouble to sell one day as there are so few here.

That's why I bought one pretty much sight unseen. With all the knowledge and help on this forum, I knew I could fix just about anything on it. And if my wife said no to trailering, I figured we would almost make money on it. You will find the TM on the eastern coast cheaper than those on the western coast.

Good luck!

Thanks again, the TM sure looks like exactly what we need, my husband is tired of all the energy required for set up and take down and we are always at the mercy of the weather, of course. I'm going to keep hounding the seller in Cambridge, and plan for a road trip soon. This group has convinced me further!

Hi Joanna, my brother just put his 2720 for sale in Edmonton. he is upgrading to a full size trailer. I think it is a 2013 model but not positive about the year. He is in the process of putting it on Kijiji and this site. Give him a call at 780-444-1901 Home or 780-266-9342 Cell. Please do not call him till about 10am as he works afternoons.

Thanks you guys! I am really afraid of being crammed against the wall of a queen bed, with either me or my husband climbing over each other to get up to pee in the night! (TMI? Sorry!) How do others cope with a sideways queen bed design?

That hasn't bothered me, nor my wife. (TMI?) ;)

If you're OK getting a 16 year old TM, the import process is really easy. Before you go down, go to an insurance place to get a "binder". This allows you to have it on the streets in Canada. It's like temporary insurance. When you go down to get it (if you do) make sure you get a proper bill of sale, find proof of its age, and make sure it is licenced to tow in all the states you would be going through.

Then be prepared to pay all the taxes!
