Has anyone here ever used these flexible panels?

HoboTech did a very impressive review of them. Not only are they very efficient, but a 200w panel only weighs 8 pounds. He shot them with an air powered rifle firing 68 caliber hard balls, and it still worked. It looks like we would not only get solar, but also hail protections as well.

What say you, Ye Ole solar gurus?

Depends on the size of the hail. I’ve seen baseball to softball sized hail, it does damage. Reddit shows mixed reviews.

I have used those flexible panels before and they work good on curved cabin tops. they do blow away if a squall hits so tie them to something. Harbor freight sells a 200w foldable suitcase panel for $209.99. but you have to provide your own charge controller. Does that panel come with charge controller? If it does then that is a good price.
