Any other home schoolers here? Or parents of school aged kids?

One of the benefits of home schooling is getting to travel some in the off season because we aren't always tied to a school calendar. I was just curious if there are others here and if they have any tips for taking school "on the road". Or just traveling with school age kids in general. I have 4 daughters--18, 18, 15, and 10, but the twins are going off to college this summer, so I will be camping with the younger two.

my wife homeschools our youngest 2 kids (as she had done with the older 4). As or home schooling while camping, you can do the earth sciences depending on where you like to camp. (Applied knowledge and be real fun).

Nice to meet you, Gonzo!

We have so many books! I'm trying to figure out where in the TM I can stow all the books! ;) If we take short trips during the school year, we won't have to take much, really. It's just the co op classes. They really can't get behind in those co op classes.

nice to meet you, as well. i would think totes could work well in this scenario.

I have no home school experience but I know a lot of text books are available as digital editions for Kindle or iPad. My wife uses them for college so she's not lugging around tons of books.

I really need to look into this--if not for my younger ones then definitely for the two college bound kids. It might save us some money, too.
