We are looking to replace the original super loud A/C in our 2004 Trailmanor 3023. Has anyone done this and have a recommendation on which unit to replace the original with?

How handy are you?

If you are quite handy you might want to consider a mini-split A/C unit. The hardest part will be coming u with the high and low pressure refrigerant lines that will need to be flexible.

I installed a 12,000btu mini-split on my TrailManor Elkmont. It is whisper quiet and does a great job of cooling at a lot less electrical power. It's easily run on a 2000W inverter generator.

It would require relocating your battery. If you choose to go to a Lithium battery, you could install it inside.

No experience with this but there is a mini split rooftop model available. Supposedly much quieter.

I saw that the other day, they have two versions. One with an inverter and one without. The non inverter is cheaper. Still need to read up on it myself.

That one looks great but I'll bet it's made in China and they say they are out of stock. Good luck ever getting one. Current tariffs would drive that price up over 100%.

If you can find one, go with the inverter compressor. They are a lot more efficient and quiet. It would be great if some US company would build one.
